Incorporated in 1989, Optical Software Inc. is a vibrant young company that develops computer products that cater specifically to the needs of the eye care industry.Our flagship product is OMICS, a modular suite of software designed to help the optical industry make better eyewear at a lower cost. OMICS is an integrated software system designed to help the optical lab owners manage their business more effectively by providing key information relevant to their business, technical and manufacturing problems in a timely and efficient manner.

Initial development of the software began in 1983 in response to client requests to produce and market a comprehensive computer system for the optical industry.   The first official release of OMICS in 1988 was the result of 5 years of R & D and beta testing in a Moncton lab.

Optical Software currently has offices in Moncton, New Brunswick Canada, and Greensboro, North Carolina.We have installed 400+ systems across 3 continents and are experiencing steady annual growth.

The key to our success has been our flexibility and a commitment to our customers that extends beyond the initial sale.Because we are convinced that on-site training and after sales support will maximize the performance of OMICS in the lab, we offer these services to our customers at a reasonable rate. Our toll free line is available throughout North America, and questions are responded to by real people with solid training in optics.Our support office has access to a "real" lab setting for on-going R & D purposes.
